About this role

About the role

We are looking for a Space Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, analysis, and operation of space systems. You will work across disciplines to turn mission requirements into engineering reality, owning technical workstreams from concept through verification.

What you'll do

  • Design and analyse spacecraft subsystems or payloads, depending on your specialisation
  • Run trade studies and present clear, defensible recommendations to the team
  • Own technical documentation — requirements, interface control documents, test plans
  • Support integration and test campaigns, including anomaly resolution
  • Collaborate with systems, software, and operations engineers to ensure end-to-end mission success

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) or higher in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field
  • Experienced-level background in space systems engineering, spacecraft design, or a closely related domain
  • Solid understanding of orbital mechanics, space environment effects, or spacecraft subsystem fundamentals
  • Ability to work methodically under office-hours schedule while coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication; you can explain complex trade-offs without jargon

Nice to have

  • Experience with mission analysis tools (e.g. STK, GMAT, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with systems engineering standards (ECSS, NASA, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing or cleanroom operations
  • Programming or scripting skills for analysis and automation (Python, MATLAB, or similar)

How we hire

Intro call → technical deep-dive with the team → practical exercise relevant to the role → offer.

Requirements

Skills

  • Proficiency in spacecraft subsystem design, orbital mechanics, space environment effects, and mission analysis tools (STK, GMAT).

Experience

  • Experienced-level background in space systems engineering, spacecraft design, or closely related domains, including integration and test campaigns.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) or higher in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.

Certifications

  • Familiarity with ECSS, NASA, or similar systems engineering standards.

CV Quality

  • Clear documentation of technical work, trade studies, and communication skills.
